CREATIVE WRITING CHALLENGE: Day 4

Let the record show, I don’t write poetry – ever. So this is really just words that rhyme. Enjoy.

Write a poem using the words: blue, mistrust, half and twang

typewriter

She looked back at his warm face

His crystal blue eyes begging her to leave this place.

*

Into the abyss with him she would go

The twang of desire rang through her ears, but no.

*

She could not disappear with him, there would only be mistrust

What she saw in those eyes was not love for her, only lust.

*

So she turned from him, pain searing her half a heart

He was once her forever. Now they would be forever apart.
